§ 6-151. Grandfather clause.

  • Notwithstanding anything in this chapter to the contrary, the city council's enactment of this chapter will not revoke or suspend the existing license of a licensee who, as of the date of the enactment of this chapter, holds a license for retail sale of alcoholic beverages by the drink for consumption on the premises only and whose business or premises may not qualify as a restaurant or public club under this chapter. However, except as provided herein, upon the city council's enactment of this chapter, any license issued pursuant to this chapter shall comply with all parts of this chapter.
